Hollywood Hell In and Out

Just a handful of some of the "Golden Age" of Hollywood, its bright sunlight and dark corners, and the rot and horror of the damned, inexecrable dogs of boardrooms that, with a compliant and dim-witted theatre-going public, profited hugely by reducing even the strongest men to a status akin to castrate steer on their way to the abattoir, all the while catering to a collective societal mindset determined for the time to remain as uninformed about the universe as a five year-old or a Neolithic primitive.
Long since fragmented into a million jagged pieces, no Phoenix shall ever arise from these excrementitious ashes. The old system, like a battlefield flashback, presents us with a profoundly unreassuring reminder of some of America's darkest times, politically, legally, and morally, in which the brighter the sun shown, the darker the shadows it cast.
The sorrows and grief many of these men went through is only now entering the pages of formal history, as we reckon with the revelation that for many of these, the only real tears they shed were in private bedrooms long after the cameras ceased rolling, the arc lamps went cold, and the fickle public and false promise-spewing studio heads turned their backs.
The Universe has indeed a way of balancing its own scales, and the elites who held the reins on their careers and lives ultimately ended up thrust into the shadows of the very obscure cautionary tales they often inflicted upon their contract players whose reality did not befit the studios' image mongering propaganda. Hollywood, or Small Town USA, the venom is of the same snake. All the while, one must bear in mind that it was all a microcosm of the greater whole, and the many still prefer to be deceived, rather than revere objectivity, and the multitudes of private, hidden factual miseries of the many, disguised under elaborate cinema scripts of fiction, comprises the huge citizenry which dwarfs all the numbers of fallen super stars.
But now, perhaps, truth assumes its own momentum, and nears the breaking point of shattering the collective mental block the many have permitted mediocrity and thinly revamped mind conditioning to be shacked about their throats much as their cinema idols did.

Troy Donohue's exquisite persona and voice could only rival Tab Hunter, yet he was fated for a sadder ending, which only reinforces all belated love and respect such a man merits.
